Denali has very interesting international lineage. His daddy was an Irish super star, and his grandpappy was Australian. But Denali didn’t seem to inherit those special genes. He ran 60 races and placed in just 29. He’s been off the track and just languishing in his racing kennel since last February, one of those victims of “the big black male” syndrome — always getting overlooked when it comes to adoption. And that’s so unfair, as those of us who own black Greyhounds are well aware of what special loyal and affectionate companions they make. Denali is a happy, confident boy, and now that he is here in Atlanta, we want to see him quickly get that forever home he so rightfully deserves.
